Oh, like every other Z with OEM headlights or maybe those that opened them up modified with halo’s?

There’s a lot more of those Z’s than ones with the Morimoto headlights.

Unlimited potential with OE's you got one option with Morimoto's enjoy!

Well now I’ve got my OE’s out and can modify those if I want!

But I’m very happy with the Morimotos. I think I heard there is a company modifying the Morimotos, but haven’t seen it.

It has been mentioned in this thread.

Pretty much any of the custom light companies can modify morimotos. Most of the good shops are using Morimoto lights and accessories anyway.

Anyone notice a stepped pattern in the beam of each headlight? Its like each led housing is off a bit, about 25ft away it all looks like one cutoff but when you go farther it starts to turn into 2 separate cutoffs, hope I am making since, not sure if they are supposed to be like that or not?

It'll be interesting to see what the aftermarket mod companies come up with. I guess at that point buyers will be over $2k for headlights though.

Have any of you guys had any issues with the Morimoto lights yet? I’m seriously considering getting the Morimoto XB lights for mine. I do like some of the other lights more but they are extra expensive plus I’d have to wait on them to be made, whereas I won’t have to wait as long for the Morimotos.

Also, what all comes with the lights? I’m assuming they actually use LED bulbs and not lights built in for the head lights?

And yes I know that’s a dumb question lol, but just wanted to confirm one way or the other.

Unboxing is in the video on page 14.

If there very any serious issues, we would have heard about them by now in this thread.

Mine are starting to look like chit. Ugg, time for some new ones. I don't have DRl's, That means All I need to not do is plug in the extra power wire that goes to the fuse box, correct.

How so and hand how long have you had them? My stock headlights have been starting to fade for awhile now and new OEM lights are pretty much the same price so I’m seriously considering ordering them within the next couple days. Wanted to make sure they work decent after having them installed for awhile, but haven’t found anyone mentioning it. Didn’t know if that’s cause they are good, no one has had them long enough or simply no one has said anything about it yet.

cooltoy 11-08-2020 10:49 PM

Pretty sure he is talking about his stock headlights.

You would be correct. Stock headlights are starting to look like crap. OEM ones that are blacked out on the inside are expensive, 1800 or so. Ouch!!!!

TacoSport10 11-09-2020 10:49 AM

I have had mine installed since the first shipment. I have had NO regrets on getting these. They still look great and IMO look fine with my stock bumper and all. I aligned my headlight beams after installation, but with it being so dark now, I've had folks on the road flash their lights or even stop on backroads until I drive by. I even went back and lowerd the beam more, but I still the get occasional flash. So maybe their still pointed too high or maybe it's just bc their LED.

I also hear Morimoto is coming out with replacement housing lenses? So if you don't want to try and clean the OEM, you can just replace those.

Gungrave 11-09-2020 02:45 PM

So I have a few more dumb questions.

1. Are the lights (headlight bulbs) a part of the headlights or are the bulbs replaceable, if they ever end up going out?
2. If it's a bulb, how many bulbs are there and which bulb would be needed?
3. Do the bulbs come with the headlights (I only ask this because I recently found the lights on AutoAnything.com and they claim the headlights done come with the bulbs)?

Answer to 3 - Yes.
