So weird, after went cruising around a bit, my oem drl is working again

Oh, like every other Z with OEM headlights or maybe those that opened them up modified with halo’s?

There’s a lot more of those Z’s than ones with the Morimoto headlights.

You’re talking about the DRL in the bumper? Had to be a bad connection or a wire. There shouldn’t be anything with the headlights that’s a part of that circuit other than you had to disconnect to remove the bumper.

Exactly my thought because the morimoto headlights had nothing to do with the oem drl on bumper. Was so confused when I finished installation. But after driving around, it just started working again.

As far as installation goes for the headlights it was easy. Only real problem was the fuse relay. The standard size fuse tap wasn’t very secure and closing the fuse cover was a pain. Either the side of the fuse cover was bulging out and can’t close correctly or the fuse would pop out of the socket a little when forcing the cover close. Instead my friend went and picked up a micro fuse tap. Much more secure and just had to mod the tap a little bit so it was easier to close the fuse cover.

Wish I had a camera to take some better pictures because iPhone sucks. Headlights too bright and iPhone just picks up glare. Gotta wait to see if one of my boys wants to cruise and hold they bring a camera.

It's been a while. just wondering what you all think of your Morimoto's? Do you think they are to fancy for a stock roadster?

OptionZero 08-17-2020 04:25 AM

Yes

Do you mean, yes it's to fancy? Explain why you think that please. Do you have these lights? Was really liking the DRL's on them for my 2010.

Seems pretty obvious you're not going to be modding this car to the extent necessary for this to look good

aggressive, blacked out LED headlights on a pedestrian stock body is whack

these things look good on a stanced car with some aero

The only mods I've done so far are Nismo wheels, wing, and a flat-bottom steering wheel.

I asked 78works yesterday on their insta when the taillights are gonna be released but no response yet. I’ll update you guys if they get back to me.

Mach666 09-02-2020 12:45 PM

So 78works did not get back to me about the taillights but I saw someone else had checked with next level so I asked them, they informed me that morimoto would be releasing them in about a month. 👍🏻

I've had these installed for a month or two now. I absolutely love them. Well worth it.

The only issue involved installation...these are NOT plug and play.http://https://ibb.co/fXRTc85 https://ibb.co/9w0b7Vc
