Wheelwell liners pitted??

Hey guys, I was washing my car today and when I went to wipe down my wheelwell liners, I noticed they were extremely pitted and felt almost like sand paper.

Default Wheelwell liners pitted??

Hey guys, I was washing my car today and when I went to wipe down my wheelwell liners, I noticed they were extremely pitted and felt almost like sand paper. Is this normal? I know the 19's kick up a large amount of debris, but I was just kind of shocked at the shape they were in. Thanks for the help.

If you are talking about the actual wheelwell liner, then yes I'm pretty sure that's fairly normal, esp if you have the sport package. The Potenzas tend to kick up a ton of rocks, pebbles, etc. Maybe someone else can chime in though.

They're also a factor in the road noise that some people complain about.

There's definitely some pebble/rock noise that you can hear when those tires kick it up. I haven't checked the wells or liners, but I can only assume they probably don't look too pretty.

My response would be: I guess they are doing their job. If they weren't there, can you imagine what the paint would look like?

Got a chance to wash my car today and checked them out. They are definitely the same way. My advice would be not to worry about it. Unless you feel like swapping them out every month.

Yeah, I try and give them a scrub every now and then to get out any debris that might be stuck in there.
