Hello fellas and ladies. Just got this Nismo and have been enjoying the hell out of it, but i had a person point out that the body kit could be not from the factory/dealer, but instead re-installed after being taken off or the car was possibly in an unreported accident and a new kit installed (mentioned some paint looked off but couldn't really get a good view on it).

Just wanted to ask for some opinions from people that know the fit and finish on the Nismo body kit. Here are some pictures (i had to resize due to size limitations). What do you think ?

Lets see the rest of the car from all angles?

Could have had aftermarket intakes that put the filters behind the bumper cover and the bumper has been removed a couple times.

This. I've pulled my bumper off a couple dozen times and it does start to get a little gappy. Might help to make sure the screws holding the edge of each side of the bumper are tight.

Easy way to tell if it's the original bumper is see if there is a sticker with the VIN on the bumper. There's a sticker with the VIN on original bumpers while there's a different sticker on replacement bumpers indicating its a replacement.

^another indication is the Vin has been painted over as most body shops are too lazy to tape over the Vin plate before they spray the bumper. Broken bumper tabs are another sign to check.

I'll get better pictures and try to find that VIN. :driving:

The reason I asked, is I am wondering if it is an original Nismo, or a conversion.

The front bumper paint looks slightly mismatched, but if you look at the closeup pictures it looks matched...

it's an original Nismo.

i see that now. Definite possibilty of an accident. Espesially that rusted area makes me tink that the bumper was pushed over the metal at some point. Possuibly the bumper mountng points have been missaligned from the hit. You can always gave it resprayed and refitted.

This is all speculation. No one can tell you from just pictures.
