2018 Trunk Release

Going off of what OptionZero stated, other than finding use connectors from older Nissans that have the same plug, does anyone know where to buy a pigtail for the trunk

I bought mine from a 2013 Nissan Sentra... shouldn't cost more than $20-30 for the entire panel.

Did you buy it from a wreckers or new? Ideally I'm looking for new

New would most likely set you back in the $70+ range for the switch and most likely it won't include the pigtail. I bought mine from ebay and looked new when I got it.

Resurrecting this old thread. Thinking of pursuing this upgrade. Have everything on hand, including a switch from a Sentra, complete with a connector with the four pigtails attached. Wiring looks pretty straightforward. My only issue is accessing the so-called gray wire in the BCM in the passenger footwell that needs to be tapped into. The space is not only tight, but freeing up the gray wire to allow splicing with the wire that will run from the switch is hindered in part by the solid block of styrofoam that sits under the carpet at the front of the footwell. For those who have completed the work, how did you tap into the gray wire? I suspect you could use a standard wire tap, but I would prefer to solder the wires. Removing the styrofoam block to allow better access would work if it wasn't glued to the carpet. Anyway looking for advice from those in the know. Thanks in advance.

It's part #25380-JF00A

Unfortunately, it does not come with the plug, or harness that actually is needed to splice the necessary wiring to it to make it work.

I looked on various parts databases and couldn't find anything resembling the necessary wiring harness

How have others who wired this up done it?
You really expect all of that for $84? (being sarcastic)
Contact member nissantracker they've been selling center console switches and can probably point you in the direction of the harness and connector.
