Default 180 degree rear-view mirror

Brookstone, Hammacher and All-View sell this clip-on rear view mirror for about $60.00. It's supposed to expose the blind spots and widen the full back view. I can't understand how it can help as it would only show what you can see through our two small triangular back windows, which is virtually nothing. Has anyone tried or bought one of these mirrors? I'd really like to improve the visibility of my Z.

On cars with full back windows like sedans and SUV it does allow you to see out the side windows in the review mirror. However it would do nothing for the Z, your only option if you're too lazy to turn your head and look before you change lanes is to use the small fisheye mirrors on your side mirrors.

Not a matter of lazy, as turning my head to look back is dangerous because my view to the front is then interrupted. True, those small rear triangular windows are essentially worthless and therefore make this wide rear view mirror of no help, either. But I will look into small additional mirrors for the side rear views, as you suggest. Thanks for your thoughts.
