It does require removing the front bumper. I had mine installed when having some minor body work repaired.
I've been told it's not hard to do but, I've not done it myself. I'm sure you can find a DIY vid on here somewhere.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I'g personally go the plastic plug route. There are all kinds of plastic plugs for fitting body parts to cars in bubble packs or 6 or 8 in auto parts stores. Locate some that cover the damaged area from license plate mounting, and enlargen the holes so that the new plugs will mount snugly. Push 4 of the plugs into a sheet of cardboard for painting, and then take your car's paint code to an auto paint shop supplier and have them make up your paint code and install it in a spray bomb. Obviously spray the plugs, and when cured install two of them, and keep the other two for spares down the road. |
