Default Engine wont go to the "ON" position

Hey guys,

My car completely freaked out one day when I was out in the rain. The entire lights and cluster flickered on and off and than completely went out. My engine was still running and only had about a mile to get home so I finished the drive. When I got to my garage the car was just making a constant noise like the alarm wanted to go off but never did. Eventually about an hour later the noise stopped and I just let the car dry out and get to it the next day.

Get to my car the next day and open it up and there is just a constant noise coming from the interior whenever i open the car door. The lock and unlock function work on my car fob like it should with the lights blinking for lock and unlock. The interior lights are working when you push them on and off. My car will not go to the ACC or ON position.

Can anyone help me on where to look next for the problem?

Definitely check battery & all connections,,,especially at starter.
You’re boosted & everything has been apart before.
Be sure your ground cables are plentiful,,,as it doesn’t hurt to have a couple extra.

Well after some tinkering I was able to get the car to run but only with my fob in the key holder spot....car wont recognize the fob at this point.... is this something simple to fix?
