Ok, dumb question as I haven't installed mine yet. What do you you do when you wash your car? My car is new and the engine bay is pristine, I really don't want a bunch of water down in there.

If the engine is cool. You can put a sheet of plastic over the engine.

Yep, thought about that but sometimes I'm lazy and I take my car in to get it washed and waxed.

I was thinking of using a beach or using vinyl carpet wrap to cover the vents. The wrap is cheap and won't hurt the paint for what little will go on it.

You also put cling wrap over the vents. Just don't hit it with too much water.

There a number of creative ways to deal with washing the car. So far it has not been issue for me. Just go off road once on the track and that will be worst than water to clean up. Ask me how I know, LOL!

No need for the camera, sounds like the instructions have done the research for you. The radiator is going to give off the most heat & you want to vent in a low pressure area of the hood. The more you vent the radiator, the more engine heat it will absorb, keeping things cool ;)

They did their work and I will go with their instruction, but if I can use one for free, it will not be a bad idea, specially that I am installing Mishimito Rad now and it may differ a little.
