Default Can You Drive Without Gauge Cluster?

I have a 2009 370z Nismo that Im working on and currently has the main gauge cluster (behind the steering wheel) disconnected. This is my only vehicle and I need to make a 100 mile roundtrip. Can I drive the car without the gauge cluster installed or will I run into any problems?

I did a search and read reports that in a 350z the alternator will not operate if the gauge cluster is disconnected. I know this its not smart to drive without the gauge cluster but would like to know if its possible.

Thanks!

I know this is an old thread, but just for info sake:

I had the gauge cluster out while car was outside. It started to rain, so I started the car and drove it the few feet into the garage, with the cluster still disconnected. In the garage, tried to shut off the car, NO GOOD ! The car wouldn't shut off without the cluster plugged in.

Finished what I was doing, put it all back together, all OK.
