The fitment is spot on as with most JDM aftermarket hood. Me and my brother installed and it went just the same as the oem. The gaps are tight and never had an issue with alignment. The vents are highly functional and will remove heat very well. I had to added the bumper vents to get more airflow in as I still had issues with overheating. Since adding the bumper vents I have had no issues when temperatures have reached 95* plus.

Thanks for the review. If the hood vents don't work out I might go this route.

Bob, do you have a link to your bumper vents and your brake duct vents?
I would love to get my engine bay cooler after TTing..

No problem the other thing I forgot to mention is that hood has rain gutters so even in a heavy rain or just washing the car no water gets to the engine bay. The hood is very functional as well as stylish!

Yeah, that is definitely a plus. It is a good looking hood.

Both ducts are APR Performance and I used their NACA ducts mated to Stillen brake ducts system. I purchase the APR air duct 9.25 x 4.75 to vent the upper portion of the bumper. This really did not work out as the duct was to long and so the only portion of the duct that was used is what you see in the picture lol. It make a great frame for the hole in the bumper and provides for a place to hold the wire mesh. I would come up with a different frame as the ducts go for $81 a piece on Amazon which is the cheapest place to get them. The actual size of the vents on the upper bumper are 7.5" x 4".

"Please" keep the off topic clutter out of the Tech Section.

Your fellow members as well as me would appreciate it.

Well, we had to do something while waiting and waiting for these to be revealed.

Well i'd say its past the end of last week and the beginning of this week. You can't just tell them to snap a quick pic of the vents even if they're not on the car? I just wanna know what they'd look like lol

I know it is like waiting on Christmas but it will be here soon enough. I'm sure something is going to happen soon.

Why would I close the thread, the product has been developed and company wants to wait until they are totally ready to show the product. Come on, how long did it take for the Sucker Punch oil pump and gears take to be developed? There a several products that have taken way more time to be realized than this one.

What is ironic is that me and Eagle have vented hoods and don't really need another solution but we are both interested in the development of better mouse trap and providing something to our Z community...and this the thanks we get! ;) Just kidding, I really see that there is a lot hope to fill a void that there are few options! Hang in there!

With all due respect,it does seem that the company developing the vents has put the
project on the legendary "back burner".
As I do not have interest in said vents for my Z,it does appear that many do.

Economics dictates the direction of a project involving investment, possible market etc.

As I've posted previously,it is best for consumers to see the completed product .
Most people will not see the vision of the completed project from a concept.

Ya know, you'd think the real thing would be advertised by now.
But,in the real world:vacations, amount of personnel involved,"cold feet" etc
are stuff that happens.
I'm waiting

My hood vents were supposed to ship today. But they had been sitting on the "back burner" all week long and caught on fire :(

Why are you waiting for a product you'll never buy anyway? I got some legit carbon fiber trim for your blinker fluid gauge that should interest you. Guaranteed to draw in crowds of stance-tards and hard parkers.

Everyone please have patience, John is a busy guy. He reports that the vents are done, next step is to get them installed but he will be out of pocket for the next couple weeks since he will be attending the SCCA nationals. Please say hi to him if you see him out there.

This is what I'm talking about. John actually spends lots of time at the track so he is about what many of us are about...products that produce results in real world application!

Quoting a previous post of mine in one of his threads that shows his logic.
