Everyday driver. Looks cool,performance/overheating,not much.

For the super performance guy, have at it.

Lets be real, how many forum members actually TRACK their cars?

Dude go troll somewhere else as you are not wanted here. Obviously you don't want to participate in this matter so be respectful of those that do.

Most of the people following this thread are here for the performance/overheating benefits. Actually most people in the forums their Z is not their everyday driver. I am being real when I say I think you probably were the only one in the "looks cool" category. I think it is functionally cool :D

On the track in conjunction with other parts at high RPMS.

The whole idea sounds like a marketing ploy from the aftermarket guys.
Hey,they got bills to pay,right?

For us everyday drivers---a deduct from the bank account.

There are "gobs" of ignorance in your posts. Not to mention they add absolutely nothing to the conversation. The OP has VERY clearly stated that this product is going to be be geared for FORCED INDUCTION guys. What is so hard to understand about that that you felt it necessary to come in here and spout your ignorance? :shakes head:

And as someone that has over 75K miles of daily driving in the Texas heat in a Z34, I can assure you the OEM cooling is far from adequate. Vents in the hood would be one of several ways to address that issue. Admittedly there are other mods, such as an oil cooler, that make sense to do first. But it's quite clear that these products are intended to serve those who are searching for any and all ways to increase cooling beyond the standard methods. If you don't fall into that category and don't have anything relevant to add, maybe you should just keep your hands off the keyboard.

I can assure you Bob is not looking into this development to profit or sell unnecessary mods to ignorant plebeians. This is a hardcore Z guy wanting to advance the platform :driving:

I track my car and the majority of the guys in this thread do as well. You sound like you were looking for the carbon fiber trim thread...perhaps you're a little lost?

My 370z was my daily driver for 2 years when I got my vented hood. I noticed a difference immediately. You don't have to have a super built car to see the advantages of this upgrade. My car suffered from heat soak and adding a vented hood to my list of mods was never solely about aesthetics.

I live in California where we have canyons and mountain roads within an hour of me in almost every direction from my home and the temperatures in the spring, summer and fall can be pretty brutal. It's bad enough that without an oil cooler that I could get my oil temps up to 240-250 with an easy romp on the freeway. Don't even get me started on what happens in the canyons or on the race track.

My advice? Stop wasting your time here arguing with people about a product you'll never use, if you don't need it, care for it or can't afford it...guess what? There's the door -> :wtf2:

Well if he found this forum, I'm sure he'll be able to figure it out.

Castrol, as long as you're mindful of the concrete barriers around it!

BTW there's another 1/2 mile event July 29th. My car won't be making it this time though

:inoutroflpuke:

If that is the case, I definitely do not need these vents for cooling - just looks. ;)

PS. We made it all the way to 89F here a few days ago.

I hear that loud and clear. Very seldom make my way up there for that reason. Hopefully the new one by Olds comes to fruition. All the approvals to date are are in place now so it's close to becoming a reality. Still a bit of a hike but 40 mins is a whole lot better than 3.5hrs.
