Got to annoyed once installed. The front left had a noticeable gap between the lip and bumper. Ordered different nuts and bolts to really make it fit snugly. Double sided tape doesn't hold against the lip. Will work on it again Friday.

The good news is that other than the small Gap on the left, every other park of it fit amazingly well.

Mine has a 1/4" gap on the driver's side and it drives me crazy.

Please post pictures of your lip and the gap your talking about. Thanks.

Leingod 05-05-2017 05:19 PM

Disregard all the old wax on it. hahaha. Needs a good buff anyways.

The gap is right inbetween the 2 holes that allow you to put in tapping screw. I'm going to use a drill bit to make another hole right in the middle of where the gap is to fit my drill so I can nut/bolt the sucker down as tight as it'll take. I HIGHLY recommend using nuts and bolts for all of the tapping screw locations. A much more secure fit. I plan to take out all the tap screws and replace them with matching nuts and bolts.

If anyone wants other viewing angles, let me know. I just can't put the bumper back on the car yet. Pouring the past 3 days.

Would you take some from the side of the bumper?

looks great op :)
careful with your lip in the sun, wash chemicals and uv will yellow/whiten it over time, as it did to my front lip. meguiars has a black plastic restorer that works great, brings back the black and shine, just a fyi for future reference

Hopefully by Wednesday this week. It has literally rained the past 6 days straight. And it's 36 degrees out currently....

Dont worry bro, when you have a chance!

Leingod 05-08-2017 07:05 PM

Why is it that when I work on my car, nothing ever goes right. The bumper is finally back on and I now have a huge gap between the left side headlight and the hood somehow. Never touched the headlight, bumper, or hood. I also have a gap between the right side headlight and the bottom on the bumper. No idea what I did. Here are some photos of it on finally.

I think the issue is what onz referenced in the other thread. I'm sure you'll get it fixed with no problems.

By the way, did you paint/clear coat the lip, or did you leave it the way it came?

I hope that's the case. The gap is literally driving me insane already. If it wasn't pitch black outside, i'd be out screwing with everything again.

I just left it the way it is. I will eventually get it painted glossy black and clear coated so it doesn't yellow over time.

carlitos_370z 05-09-2017 06:24 AM

Bro I love it! looks great!

Leingod 05-09-2017 07:01 PM

Memphis and Carl, eat your heart out! I tried my best to realign the bumper and headlights. Still slightly different gaps between the left side housing and hood. And still a slight gap between the top of the bumper on the bottom of the right headlight housing. But way better than yesterday. And the lip looks gorgeous now that it's detailed properly.

I bought and received mine last week. I'll be the guinea pig for the 13+ model. I did a preliminary test fit and it looks like it would be just fine. I think the bumper bottoms are the same on all model years... Except Nismo of course.

I will be installing mine next week.

You are correct. The bottom really hasn't changed much. May those slight overhangs on the side, but nothing that would impact fitment with the lip.
