Jookiyaya I'm with you on this one. Personally, I hated the SP spoiler so I had to settle with very base then upgraded rims to SP 19".

Sucks I had to sacrifice the S-Mode and Big brakes etc for that

i had contacted Colin from public relations about the US Spec 40th anniversary.

i even offered him 5 gran just to literally put that 600 dollar spoiler away and he turned it down. if any dealerships see this please contact me asap.
i also wanted the new LED for the 2010 JDM upgrade as well installed at the factory not at the dealership as well as the 2009 jdm upgrade which i have currently on my 09 touring...

but check this link out it doesnt look that tacky i hope...

How hard is it? How about impossible? You will never have control over the assembly of a vehicle beyond the addition of Sport package, color choice, nav, etc.

You will NEVER get a Sport package without a spoiler in the US. Not gonna happen, dealers have no control over the situation... get over it, man!

You could pay less than one grand to have the spoiler removed, weld up the holes and refinish it at a very high quality shop.

x4 to liking ANY spoiler on this car. Sans spoiler, oddly enough, screams 350z to me.

thats kinda stupid...you could have traded your hatch for a spoilerless hatch from someone else...worst case you remove the spoiler and have the holes filled and painted professionally.

Actually it isn't "stupid". I thought instead of going through all that crap of "removing the spoiler and have the holes filled and painted professionally" or trading "hatch for a spoilerless hatch from someone else" I can think positively and find another way around it. I have a red Z and I had to get it from hundreds of miles away. Gettin it for that color was already hard from where I live. I wouldn't want to wait for someone to buy this base, hunt the person down and go down on my knees to beg for a swap. I can take it like a man and drive the car without S mode? Heel-to-Toe is common for me and it keeps my skill level up as a MT driver. Don't get me wrong, I've tried the S-Mode and it worked flawlessly. Plus the extra 3k went straight to aftermarket Nav unit, Short throw shifter and intake. Not a huge loss on my part. Performance wise and the new interior look I'm quite satisfied with the route I went for.
