I had my original installation done locally, by a guy that was recommended by another person in the business. This guy started out installing window tint and progressed to clearbras. He was doing all the work for the Mercedes, Porsche, and the Infiniti dealers, so I allowed him to do my car. I can't stress enough that you need someone who is experienced and has been doing this for a while to do your install, unless you are not that picky. I am too picky, and was not happy with the work. I had some stretch marks in the material, and a few places that just were not perfect. I couldn't get him to redo it, and didn't want to spend more money than the cost to replace trying to sue him...... so I found a pro in Charlotte (3 hour drive) to remove the one I wasn't happy with and install a new one. I watched him steam and remove the old one, as well as clean off the bumper. He then polished the bumper to a high shine so I would have a nice surface underneath the new clearbra. I wouldn't worry about removal down the road, from what I saw it is not an issue. Oh, the new clearbra is PERFECT. If I didn't tell people it was on the car, you would never know it.

Very insightful. I'm glad to hear that it worked out for you in the long run. Down the road after I finish graduate school, I may have to consider this. Thank you, John!

Okay, after finding out that the OEM one does NOT use velcro, I decided to return my Covercraft one and purchase the OEM one. I also did realize it does fit better.

I wish I had taken a picture of the Covercraft completely fitted to give an accurate comparison because the picture in my 1st post of this thread was a test fitment. I attached some pictures of the OEM one fitted on completely.

The only PITA with the OEM one was putting it on. That sucker was super snug! But it is worth the effort!

So bottom line:
  • Fitment: OEM (much more snug)
  • Quality: TIE
  • Difficulty (putting it on): Covercraft
  • Design: OEM (just by a little because it uses industrial buttons versus velcro in certain areas)

So the winner is OEM! If this helped, please "rep" me! Thank you!

From the looks of the Covercraft in the picture it doesn't look well designed given the folds in the material. It looks rather loose and ill-fitted.
I agree i just put on the Nissan mask on my 370.It fits like a glove and i like the use of the plastic hooks. I'd rather look at the black bra then look at and deal with chips.

To each his own so for me, I agree with you two. I much rather not sport a bra. BUT, as I mentioned in my previous posts in this thread, I do a lot of long interstate driving at a minimum of a bi-weekly frequency and during the spring and summer seasons, I straight up just don't want to sit and scrub off all of the ridiculous number of bugs that I kill. If having a bra to reduce the workload of cleaning my car (and minimize rock chips), then so be it. I consider it as a cleaning efficiency investment. Also, I'm the same way with waxing her so it's just as frequent.

Now, it's called the bro. Or, the mansiere.

Well, I have to tell you, it's a very interesting idea.

You know, selling bras exclusively to women, we're really only utilising
fifty percent of the market.

And, to be perfectly frank, I've always felt I could use some support. I
know, when I'm wearing Banlon, there appears to be some jiggling.

I wouldn't be caught dead in Banlon.

So uh, what d'you see in the back? Hooks? Velcro?
What?

Definitely velcro.
