Black Out Film for Tail Lights

I'm planning on buying some black out film for the tail lights... I've seen 5% film. Does anyone have experience with this? Suggestions?

Umm ... don't do it. Safety first. I don't see any benefit to a mod that increases your chances of getting rear ended (except maybe BBK)

my experience with tinted tails consisted of me getting pulled over 3 times in 5 days in 3 different counties and my car almost getting impounded for being "unsafe on the road". That was one expensive ticket.

I had 5% tint on the brake lights and reverse lights on my 350z back in the day, never again.

Also keep in mind that if your are hit from behind and your taillights are tinted, YOU run the risk of getting the ticket not the other.

5% is pretty dark. I offer a 20% and lighter 60%. The good thing about those is that light is still very visible with the overlay, plus the red reflectors can still be seen as well .

20% with cutouts. I also offer full smoke as well.
