Default Battery and brake fluid plastic covers

Hey peepz, it's me again with some questions. So recently I replaced the european pop up hood hinges with usa ones and got the z1 hood struts on them. Problem is that they start to push in on the plastic covers. Would it be safe to completely remove them and drive without the covers? Sorry for the formatting, writing from a phone. Thanks.

Those act as heat covers. Batteries don't like heat. U can extend the life if u keep maintaining dem by adding distilled water

You should be able to trim the plastic as needed to allow for clearance. I also cut a slit in the plastic near the hole for the hood strut bolt that allows me to slide the cover on/off the bolt.
