Default First of its kind?

Hey guys so my Z is acting up. Everytime I gas it all the way, it would VERY SLOWLY increase RPMs. I mean like a 0-60 in 1 minute. I don't know if this is a limp mode or whatever. Catch is, is that it only happens whenever I turn on my headlights. When its in the off position, the car runs perfectly but whenever I manually turn on the headlights on any position, it would do this right away. This happened after I replaced a fuse for my taillights. But idk how it would correlate to this Any help is appreciated.

you answered your own question. double check to see if you used the right fuse and or installed correctly.

A a general rule, the wrong size fuse won't cause your problem, it might be coincidental that the problem popped up after replacing the fuse.

Get a multimeter and check the alternator voltage when the car is idling with no loads (everything off) and loaded (headlights on high beam and blower fan on high). If you have a drop in voltage or if you are reading less than 13 volts at the battery, you have an alternator problem. Good luck.

A fuse is just protection of the wire so when there is a short, it blows the fuse instead of burning the wire. Too big of a fuse will not protect the wire (wire burns, fuse just fine) & too small of a fuse will pop an open circuit too soon.

i *think* he was concerned if you placed the new fuse in the right fuse slot or not.

i remember seeing empty slots in the fuse box.. perhaps dat was mishuko's concern? (no idea..)

Bump! Also this happen right after I changed the fuse. I used the same one too. The only thing I didn't do was disconnect the battery but will that really affect it?

Not unless the fuse popped again in which case you have a short.
