Cruise control issue

Cruise control on 2011 370 Sport Package flashes, will not engage, will not turn off.
Other times, about 50% it works as advertised. Trying to avoid a trip to dealer.

Check the brake pedal switch(es). See FSM for schematics, &c.

Check the brake pedal switch. A few people here have taken it apart for cleaning; you might find some additional info searching this forum. Or you could just replace it. I don't think it's terribly expensive and might be a good troubleshooting first step.
