15-16 nismo alcantara steering wheel

My wheel is starting to feel kind of rough, is there any aftermarket or oem options to revive or replace the alcantara or should I just look into getting it

Is the wheel Alcantara or suede?

Both can be cleaned and brought back to life, but with slightly different methods.

The company I used to work for used water, a toothbrush and microfiber towel with alcantara, and a Kiwi brand suede eraser and brush for suede. its is very easy to do and will make your old worn out wheel look new again!

There are some vendors on here that make Carbon wheels. I think it was Carbon creations but I could be wrong.

How many miles were on your Z when you started noticing the wear? Any pics? I ask because I'm having a wheel made and trying to decide between suede and perforated leather

It will depend on how much you drive (with out gloves) and how much oil and sweat are on your hands when you drive. Both suede and Alcantara can be cleaned, it is just a matter of making time to maintain it. If you are going to daily drive the car, I would highly recommend the perforated leather. See my post above about how to clean each material if you decide against the perforated leather.

The suede just looks so good!! It's definitely not a DD, it's a 3rd caright and bought for weekend use and the occasional track session for which I would be wearing gloves. Probably 6-7k miles a year. Curious how many miles until it started showing wear. ..
