The top secret is my favorite by far. If only it didnt have the vents...
I like lips when they extend out a little bit...as that one does. |
I think you almost had the right combination, but not quite....personally i think it looks good when the red goes all the way to the bottom of lip on the two sides of the middle grill. For example, feast your eyes on my superior MS Paint skills:

hahahahaha thats an awesome ms paint job but i totally agree that that is the best looking option i choose option OSIRIS
|
RedZed34's, without vents, much much better.

I think every one is right with the vents. There is alot going on with the front fascia, you have fangs, lip, grill and now a vent? it doesnt work.
|
Some clean, simple, functional would be good and flows fluidly with the canards that you guys were planning as well.

They look really cool, Stillen! If the vents are functional, I say leave 'em in. Otherwise, Reds chop looked best. |

I know Mike uses his car ALOT for track use, this lip and a nice clean adjustable front splitter would be awesome! |
With this type of design, there is a decent amount of extension at the front, which would in fact increase downforce as a splitter would.
Canards are also absolutely an option, as long as the interest is there. Similar urethane pieces we've done with the GT-R were very effective on our race car. And urethane is extremely durable, the original lip spoiler and canards we put on our GT-R survived the entire Targa Newfoundland Rally just fine, slamming all over the place. Fiberglass or carbon fiber would never have been close to lasting. http://blog.stillen.com/wp-content/g...N_GT-R_002.jpg |
I like the GT-R, not sure it will carry over exactly that for the Z (GT-R is a bit more "boxy), but I like that design.
|
I like how the indentions in the lip sets off the canards on the GT-R...nice.
|
I like the option 3 the most...its pretty nice... HOT!!!....lol
|
OK OK Please dont flame, I did this in 5 minutes and I think its OK...
I took the Porsche front lip (GT3) since it had the indentation in the middle which I happen to think flows very well with the fangs. I left the vents only because its my take on vents (if there has to be any) and its easy to remove... Enjoy... http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/5812/14vheo3.jpg |
^^ Not bad... I typically don't like vents in a lip, but that looks pretty good. ;)
|
I like those pieces from the GTR quite a bit.
I suppose I tend to favor a more aggressive design. |

i like danny's the best. simple, but has enough design to make it sexy. just send me a price

Stillen, is there any plans for a full body kit? I'm really interested in a new front bumper, especially with added vents for cooling.
|
Oh man I like the idea of no vents. and yes CF too I would get it in a heartbeat since Stillen is pretty ECONOMY friendly and great products.
|
Why do people like carbon fiber so much for the front lip? Doesn't seem practical. Polyurethane seems to be so much better for that application.
|
Yeah I had a poly one on my STI. I think even something as simple as the one I had on that car would look great.
http://www.the370z.com/members/rcz-a...4-1024x768.jpg Click here if you want to see more angles But then again, I love multi-level (where the center of the lip is about an inch higher than the corners) front lips and I love the more extended ones like these. But who am I kidding, I can't use anything that extends down too far because I'll rip it into pieces.. |
Stillen,
So whats the status on this lip?? |

Since I drive a Nismo my opinion is kind of pointless, but I'll offer it anyway. I like Stillens original design. I do think there design will (probably) be more functional than most of the the chops. Any part I consider for my car gets evaluated on both form and function. I tend to only purchase parts where the form follows function perfectly. Sometimes with aero parts that means going with something more aggresive than I would opt for if only considering form. That being said, I am perfectly happy with the Nismo body and would never make it in my drive with anything more tacked on the bottom.
|
I don't like how the lip on the GTR goes up in the middle otherwise I like it. Even the small wings on the side are ok. Stillen needs to bury that "Super Touring" series look once and for all. I hated it all the way back to the 1st gen Altima front they made.
I always liked the simplicity and clean lines of the S2K spoiler. Something like that would look good and appeal to more people I think. My vote is no vents in the middle either. |

Bump for updates.
|
make it look more aggressive, perhaps a bit more like the gtr...eh ?
and im in:stirthepot: |
Should have some things for you quite shortly.. Thanks for the input, and hanging in there..
Urethane is a longer process to develop, but has so many more benefits than fiberglass.. :) |

Any updates on when this lip is going to be on sale? I'm itching to add a lip after my cbe comes in.

this lip would sell amazingly well if they made it like this... by far the cleanest design yet.. stillen MAKE IT HAPPEN !!!! no offense but this is much cleaner than the lips on the side... |
I like the actual version much better... not a big fan of the vents.
|
Can You Do A PhotoChop with Option 3 but keep the middle blackout and the ends color match??
