If you have dirt collected at the edges take a qtip and some rubbing alcohol and try to work the dirt off the edges. But if that doesn't work it could be too dirty, if that's the case I recommend taking it off and doing the whole hood. Our cars are low, so it won't be hard for rocks to chip the top portion of our hoods as well as the fender. Clear bra is the way to go, it'll provide protection and eliminate the never ending swirl marks.
