Passenger Airbag Module

Where did you find out how many flashes indicates what problem for the airbag light? I have the same problem, although I don't remember if it was 6 or 8

I'm having problems with my passenger side air bag as well I think. With everything plugged in, my passenger side air bag light is constantly on and my airbag light in the dash is also constantly on :/

Well, I took it to the dealer, since it was flashing since around the time they fixed the window actuator, and that was really the only electrical work done on it.

They called me the other day and said it was a faulty passenger airbag harness or something, and that it's quite an expensive part to replace. Anyone ever have to replace this? Does it have to be done by the dealer? I know they'll likely charge me way more than necessary, but it is an airbag, so I don't want to mess around...

Thanks

No experience with the airbag problem, but plenty of experience with DEALER BS stories, and that one sounds like a winner. May be something they caused, and $ee $ome opportunitie$.

While I'm sure there are some good Nissan dealers out there, I haven't seen one in my area. I'd verify their diagnosis before I shelled out big money for a new airbag. The FSM has diagnostic/repair procedures if you want to DIY. Should tell you what the 8 flashes means and how to fix it.

Same here for me after routing some USB cables into the cubby. I don't believe I disconnected anything related to the seats, airbags and/or stereo.
Any solutions found?
