Goo Gone is safe for paint. You can take care of it yourself. Damn dealers in the Midwest always did that. Out in CA they just pimp your ride with a rear license plate frame.

Carmax does the same. Got my car thru them and spent half an hour scrubbing off the residue with googone. I suggest clay bar the area to remove any scuff marks left behind.

Works better on a warm day but a quick pass with a heat gun makes them come off a bit easier leaving behind very little residue. I used my finger nails to remove tag and goo gone to get remaining residue.

Goo gone requires a lot of scrubbing from my experience. It's worth investing in a 3M eraser wheel, it's what we used at the body shop for removing pinstripes and decals. Works quick and clean, without marring your paint.

I definitely wouldn't take it back to the dealer, I have seen thise guys use razor blades to get these off...

Which reminds me... When we bought our Juke Nismo we had our local dealer trade another dealer in Atlanta to get the one we wanted. They called us and said it was ready and to come check it out. We pulled up and there was a HUGE spot of missing paint where they removed the last dealer's sticker, there was at least a 3" square of paint missing. Of course they offered to repaint it and of course we (I) declined and had them find a new car.

When I bought my Roadster, I specifically requested no stickers anywhere. When the car arrived - ta da - a dealer sticker on the back. I asked them to take it off and when they did, they chipped the paint.
The dealer did make it right though - they had the chipped paint repaired and now you cannot even tell it had been chipped so good on the dealer.
It amazes me, however, that dealers think that our cars should be free advertising for them. The stickers are ugly!

I know a guy with a z that still has his sticker on the bumper for the past 2 years. It's a nismo too! Some dealers in my area are even starting to put on huge emblems for their dealershits.

i don't like anything on my cars... not even the make/model badges... i know what i drive... don't need some badges to remind me... i replaced the nissan badges with z badges that match my sidemarker lights... and the only reason i did that was because nissan just had to recess the area where the nissan badges are... fools... i de-badged and de-stickered my santé fe too... just looks so much better imo

First mod whenever a new car is bought. Remove dealers stickers and number plate frame. They dont get free advertisement.

When I buy a new car (always order them), that's part of the contract. No decal, no plate frame, and no washing. If those conditions aren't met, they order me a new one. I write it up, they sign it.

Especially important when the dealer is a scumbag. I put what I believe is a reputable dealer's plate frame on until I get what I think I want, in my hands to make sure it isn't a piece of junk. (before I buy) Nothing more annoying than taking a chance on something online and then getting a POS.

Why no washing? They washed mine and honestly I'll probably never have it this clean again!
