Just an FYI, I would just like anyone to know that is considering the RPM rollbar/cage, the bar behind the seats is EXTREMELY limiting. It mounds nearly 4-5 inches in front of the OEM support bar, limiting how far back you can put your seats. Anyone over the height of ....5'10", I would highly suggest avoiding this cage.

We have a local install it in the Moshimoto 370z, and the kid that drives it around is like 5'6". He's been trying ot sell the car for the past 2 years "as-is", but no one can fit in the car! LOL

Damn that sux. I just installed brides and I definitely lost a little bit of room already because of the metal bar in the rear that allows the seat to be folded down. I'm not sure I would have much room to spare. That cage looks amazing though

The RPM rollbar does limit how far the seat goes back. I'm 6 foot and I have no issue with it. I like my seat a little closer to the wheel and peddles though. I would also think having a race seat would gain some space back because they are thinner and built more upright.

This looks pretty and all for the show no go group, but I want to reiterate that this cage is much less safe than stock.

For NASA, or any other track day group, if you are wearing harnesses you need a proper diagonal in the main hoop (behind the seats). This will fail a thorough inspection.

I also suspect the main hoop is not tall enough for most drivers

Ok, since searching before posting seems to be a common thing I will provide you the information from RPM's web site:

Why risk getting kicked off the track?
Look no further at so called NHRA/SCCA legal roll bars.
This is the only 100% welded, 100% legal, 100% removable, built to SFI standards, on the MARKET and in the INDUSTRY. We guarantee the bar will pass tech, or we'll buy it back!

5 Point NHRA Legal, including door swing out, with standard coating.
6 Point and 4 Point options are available along with SCCA and NASA cross bar.
Call Now to Order - 877-201-8910. :wtf2:

As I stated before, mine has a tag stating it will meet SCCA standards!!!!

Not talking about the RPM bar. Talking about OP. On topic. I don't want anyone to be confused as to the design, safety, or legality of the cage that this thread is all about.

need pics of this beast already. I know what it looks like, but curious how you reinstalled/modified your interior panels, AND to see where your seats actually sit.

Hotrodz 04-03-2015 04:42 PM

LOL, I know...I have not decided how to cover the slots that were cut in the back panels so that I don't just have an open space surrounding the bar. I might call RPM as the didn't really provide good instructions but their pictures look good. I will try and post something before the end of the weekend. :p

I started a new thread so that I don't high jack thread anymore than has been done already!
