I'll buy one but I need to find a shop in my area (NYC) that could do a show installation quality work.

I would have to guess yes, however I've never had OEM seats in my car when I had the cage installed. Based on how tight they made the main hoop to the interior lines of the car I can't see an issue with fitment

Here's another small update, I've decided to extend my cage into a 6 point cage. The additional will extend from the main hoop towards the a pillars, following the same line as the a pillars and around the dash to the floor near the dead pedal on driver side and an identical spot on the passenger side. There will also be a "halo" connection between the two a pillar bars which will connect to each other right in front of rear view mirror. I know what my price will be to get this completed, however that includes re-powdercoating the whole cage and installation. That being said if others are interested in a similar setup let me know, I would estimate the cost to double. I plan on taking my car to Endurance Motorsports the weekend of 3/21 or 3/28.... cant wait for spring!!!

Alright folks, I dropped by Endurance on Saturday and scheduled my drop off date for this coming Saturday 3/9. They will have my car for 1-2 weeks while they extend my cage and powdercoat it. During this time they will also make a jig for reproduction. That being said its time for me to hand it off to them. Mike at Endurance has requested all who are interested to email them directly under the subject "370z Bolt in Cage". They will handle payment, etc.

Also, just an FYI they are in the process of moving, to a larger shop. That being said construction may be delayed until they are in their new shop, but I'll let you all handle that part of it.

Hope I've been a helpful.

edit: I should probably give you their email address: sales@endurancemotorsports.net, address to Mike or Yuki.

Rusty 03-09-2015 10:49 PM

You have a pic or drawing on the 6 point? I was wondering how the front bars will run from the main to the front.

Rangerz 03-09-2015 11:34 PM

I would be in for this as well as long as it is NASH legal. Inspection holes will be manufactured in as well?

His is going to have a halo and go from the upper a pillars down to the floor curving around the dash.

Probably more similar to this design:

Wiggins3377 03-10-2015 08:54 AM

^ that's at least the current plan. However after thinking about it more this may prove difficult with the key charger and my custom a pillar for my elevel controller. I'll update everyone when I know more.

There is so much wrong with this cage design that I would question anyone who thought it was proper. A cage should only look like this if the car it was in was dropped off a building on its roof.

Wiggins3377 03-10-2015 09:55 AM

I think I've stated what my purpose for the cage is and also disclosed that to everyone on this thread. Im not tracking my car and never plan to. For me its aesthetics and that's it! Feel free to voice your opinion, but let others make up there own mind if there intentions are similar to mine.

anthony909 03-10-2015 10:28 AM

It's just for looks not a because race car cage. Just sent them an email.

bullitt5897 03-10-2015 11:59 AM

They will be making mine to some sort of race spec... I wont be doing 6 point. They can build one to race spec for anyone who needs it or wants it.

ResIpsa 03-10-2015 01:05 PM

It is one thing to have a roll bar for looks,I guess I can appreciate that.

Trust me, I have a 6 point roll bar in my Z and I LOVE the way it looks.

http://www.the370z.com/members/resip...l-roll-bar.jpg

A roll CAGE is another monster indeed. Those front bars could kill you in a crash if you don't have a helmet on(in fact they can kill you even with a helmet on). Please install SFI rated roll bar padding on any part of the cage your head could come in contact with . Keep in mind that SFI rated roll bar padding is not soft to the touch.

JaredHeckman 03-10-2015 06:56 PM

Id buy one

Hotrodz 03-10-2015 11:22 PM

I just going to put this out there for those that are interested in a rollbar that will meet SPCCA/NSA/NHRA standards...RPM Rollbars makes a bolt in bar that fits the Z. I have one and it looks good and it's functional. They come in mild steel and molly...

pictures?

nvm I saw them on their site...not bad

Hotrodz 03-11-2015 12:15 AM

I need to get the car cleaned up and take some photos...my bar is painted red and against the black Nismo seats and red Nisom icon and stitching looks pretty hot!

ResIpsa 03-11-2015 07:10 AM

The RPM bars look nice. Just keep in mind that you could get a custom welded bar for that price or even less. Of course it would not be removable.

TerribleONE 03-11-2015 09:51 AM

Subd..

Wiggins3377 03-17-2015 09:55 AM

Ive unfortunately been delayed due to issues with my air suspension. Hoping to get it to the shop this Saturday!

The RPM bar has a bend in the diagonal bar. Might be legit for drag racing, but but not sure about road racing organizations...

Hotrodz 03-18-2015 08:30 PM

You need to go to their web site for information, they all come with a tag stating what they are rated for. Mine will comply with SPCCA but not NSA!

Wiggins3377 03-23-2015 10:43 AM

back on schedule(ish), dropped the car off on Saturday. They are beginning to take measurements today.

Sweet! I sent an email but never heard anything back. I am definitely interested

conor1123 03-26-2015 12:20 AM

Just wanted to let you guys know that I got an email today from Yuki. He said if you emailed him about the cage you are basically added to a list of people who they will contact once they have new information about the cage :) Wouldn't be surprised if more of you got the same email. He said they are pretty busy at the moment too!
