Check out these PPE Long Tube Headers!!!!

http://tunertools.com/prodimages/PPE...PPE_banner.jpg

The PPE 370Z long tube headers are designed for maximum power.
Their design incorporates a stepped design with CAD optimised tube lengths. Our headers offer a race proven merge collector standard. Dyno testing on a 2010 370Z Nismo showed 23whp gain on a completely stock car. The current base 370Z gets even better gains.

Normally stocked in mild steel, but special ordered can be built from 100% 304 stainless steel.

FEATURES:
- Tuned, stepped runners are equal length
- 3/8" thick laser cut flanges
- Mandrel bent 16 gauge tubing
- Runners are welded with Silicabronze at the head flange
- Porting at flanges
- Flat sanded head flanges
- Optional ceramic coatings
- Install instructions
- 1yr warranty

Very, very nice!

Looking forward to dynos

If you gents can tune VVEL, its is definitely worth doing so for those headers.

FuTuRe is Z 01-22-2015 12:16 AM

How much would a set of what's pictured cost?

vividracing 01-22-2015 02:30 PM

LAVA 01-22-2015 05:37 PM

Price? When will we see the dyno's?

370Z JT 01-22-2015 08:40 PM

Is this a new product? I thought PPE released their headers a long time ago?

wolfesquire 01-22-2015 09:15 PM

I would love to see a price sent and dyno numbers on a base 370z

Elmo370z 01-22-2015 09:21 PM

agreed!!

synolimit 01-23-2015 03:58 AM

im comfused, like said redesign?

they dont come stardard 304? :ugh2: thats not good for a header. NA still gets hot. most 304's even fail on turbo cars which is why the best are made out of 321.

i want to see dyno's too but we all know base cars with 1 part show huge numbers. these on a car with every other bolt on or these vs test pipes are the real question. id love to see a good 10hp or more from these vs oem headers and test pipes as the cats have already been removed.

ANMVQ 01-23-2015 07:54 AM

Whens Dyno day :) in for results.

PM Sent. We are in the middle of two huge projects at the shop at the moment so I am giving our tech time to get caught up.

I hope to get my customer in the beginning of February.

Not new, but the first set I've installed on a local customer's car. Figured it deserved a post.

For me, and perhaps others, this before-and-after would be interesting, because it best represents the potential gain from where we are, to where we "could be" with the spend on the headers.

Begin: A car that already has a cat-back, cold air intake, high flow cats (or test pipes), and an optimized tune

After (1): Remove stock manifolds and tp/hfc, replace with headers. Re-tune for the headers, preferably same day/dyno/conditions (I know the installs are a PITA)

After (2): Do the above, but install a catted y-pipe, for those of us that have to retain cats for emissions or racing rules reasons (SCCA Street Touring where I run)

The reason I didn't pull the trigger on a header is I haven't seen a proper before/after done yet - one where the contribution of just the header can be observed, with all other variables properly controlled.

This car has intake, a cat back, stock cats and no tune. We are more interested in the number the VR Tune puts out since this will be our test car. PPE has documented the hp gains on their product already so we will not be testing the headers on their own.

What date are you looking to do this?

Do you have a pic up the end?

They are back in the box out in the shop...are you asking me for a picture of the flange or??

vividracing 01-30-2015 04:22 PM

And so it begins

Had a cancellation and the black cherry 370Z was just dropped off. We are going to get started on the baseline dyno run first thing Monday morning.

I was out of the office when he got the springs and Weds SA15R's put on and I have to say it looks great!

Laughing at all the out of towners here for the Golf Tournament and Super Bowl who thought they were going to have great weather. It started raining yesterday and will continue through Saturday.

Update

Our donor 2010 370Z with the 6 speed MT, Stillen Catback and K&N Typhoon Intake did the baseline dyno run today. We will be installing the tune tomorrow and then another dyno run. From there we will start on the PPE Headers and do another dyno run. Getting him some new 305-30-19's for the rears while it's here. We will shoot more pics and video and post the results soon!

There's going to be a massive increase since he has stock cats. Install test pipes first.

Tapatalk

Asking questions, giving advice and saying what others are saying and thinkings not bashing. If they are testing we are curious of all tests. Not just one. I did several tests and still doing some on my product. We are looking for something different here, not something old. My bad for wanting real info, least I'm not alone.

I'm a customer too! I want to know what $1200 buys me and everyone else. Catless eBay tests pipes are $100ish, these are $1300 I'm sure. What does $1200 get you power wise over a stock header and no cats? It's a fair question to ask and want to see!

End of the week bump, check out the video!

vividracing 04-02-2015 06:31 PM

Headers still available, watch the vid!

ANMVQ 04-03-2015 07:42 AM

Question ? I don't want long tubes becaue I need to keep my cats for inspections , So does anyone make headers for the AWD auto?

vividracing 04-09-2015 01:28 PM

Such great quality headers, PPE really does awesome work.

Stillen's shorty headers, PM me for pricing!

vividracing 04-23-2015 02:28 PM

Our videographer was on location for a photo shoot the day we dyno'd these headers, if you want an amateur iPhone video, PM me your cell #!

I'm having PPE build a set of stainless headers with their good merge collectors, should be on the car in 2-3 weeks. Below is my baseline tune and dyno done @ Church's with HFC, CAI, and midpipe. So the future results with the headers on should be indicative of their real contribution.

G37Sam 04-28-2015 02:15 PM

The ultimate comparison would be:

OEM Headers + Test Pipes + Catback + Tune

vs.

Long tubes + same catback + Tune

overlaid on the same dyno plot.

I'm asking for too much aren't I? :D
