End of the week bump, check out the video!

Headers still available, watch the vid!

Question ? I don't want long tubes becaue I need to keep my cats for inspections , So does anyone make headers for the AWD auto?

vividracing 04-09-2015 01:28 PM

Such great quality headers, PPE really does awesome work.

Our videographer was on location for a photo shoot the day we dyno'd these headers, if you want an amateur iPhone video, PM me your cell #!

I'm a customer too! I want to know what $1200 buys me and everyone else. Catless eBay tests pipes are $100ish, these are $1300 I'm sure. What does $1200 get you power wise over a stock header and no cats? It's a fair question to ask and want to see!

I'm having PPE build a set of stainless headers with their good merge collectors, should be on the car in 2-3 weeks. Below is my baseline tune and dyno done @ Church's with HFC, CAI, and midpipe. So the future results with the headers on should be indicative of their real contribution.

The ultimate comparison would be:

OEM Headers + Test Pipes + Catback + Tune

vs.

Long tubes + same catback + Tune

overlaid on the same dyno plot.

I'm asking for too much aren't I? :D

NAH! Especially since installing those headers is such an easy, quick job!

Glover997 04-30-2015 07:53 PM

Why do the pipes extend that long between the collectors and the flange ?! from what i remember the collectors exist just before the flanges, are these new design or somethin ?! Now they look like OBX headers lol !!

Did i miss the dyno sheet in this thread or somethin ?!

I don't know, those were the first pair I've installed on a local customer's car / first pair I've ever seen. Didn't know that they looked any different and I wasn't told they were redesigned. The fitment was excellent, the sound was amazing and the dyno results were posted in the VR Tune thread. The VR Tune and the headers were tested together. The customer's car came in with threads showing on his tires so we lost a lot of time ordering tires, mounting and balancing and getting it aligned. By the time we got all that done he was standing there waiting for us to flash the ECU. We got a couple of pulls on it and he had to take the car. So we got the baseline with the intake and catback and then the final dyno with the headers and flash.

Bump! Can you deny that sound?

j-rho 05-12-2015 07:11 PM

Mine are at the coaters as we speak, putting them on this weekend.

Will try to get it on the dyno Monday. Test will be:
CAI + tune + stock manifolds + HFC + cat-back
vs.
CAI + tune + LTH + 3" 100cpi (mega high flow) cats + cat-back
