ww77, Welcome! Good to hear another Z member is coming to Germany. I've been in and out of the country due to TDYs. I typically don't get too far from Spang, if I do I take someone else's car. I do this for two reasons, 1-gas is getting expensive(I knew it when I bought the car) and 2-With no oil cooler and the days getting hotter I hate having my engine at those high temps.

Kevr6 Have fun in Munich, I've never been but plan too pretty soon.

The autobahn is awesome! However it never fails that when I am driving there is always a station wagon of some sort passing me...personally I think they are just trying to overcompensate for something.

That's because all these station wagons have turbo diesels in them and they have a top speed of 30000000kph.

So, stay to the right when you see a station wagon or they will run you over!!

Yea, you aren't kidding. When they pass it's not like a few miles an hour they are flying! I'll be doing like 80-90 mph and I know they have to be hitting the 110+ mark. *Side note* I find it kind of ridiculous how most people here will use anything to tow something. You got this Fiat Punto trying to pull something a little bigger than it is.

I'm noticing that also.
There are so many awesome cars here on Munich. Considering how much petrol costs here, there definately is a ton of money here.

I can only imagine the cost for gas for a resident. With the fuel card, I see what I would have paid at the ESSO vs what I actually paid with the card. Sometimes its at least a $70 a tank difference with the exchange rate. If I had to pay for gas straight with no card, the car would sit in the garage.

I'm now back at home!! Great trip!! Only saw one 350Z the whole week!! I saw 7 Ferraris, 2 Vettes, a Z8, 2 lambos, an SLS, tons of Audis, Bimmers, And Mercs and Porsches galore. Hardly any Japanese cars.

Well,

My Z was destroyed in the Tsunami. Delearship said it shipped prior but apparantly it was on the docks and never made it out.

They are offering me the same that I ordered except in the Blue with Perm interior or and Audi S4 for a bit more.

Not sure what I want to do. At this point I can pick another car.

Ooh. Tough choice because you do have other options besides those two. The Audi is nice and might be more financially beneficial since parts and stuff is almost readily available. On the other hand(this is Z driver side talking) a 370Z is not too common out here and I personally love that about it...I like the looks it gets. Good luck with your choice.

If it's not one of those two what else were you thinking?

I work for Audi but would say go 370Z if you live there. Set yourself apart!!

I decided to get a 2011 Infiniti G37 Sedan Sport!!

Its on the showroom floor and I will have plates Friday. Its as close to a Z as you can get, and I can honestly say I havent seen any G37s around.

At least we can still hang out

That's awesome! It's a good mix of the two. I've only seen one in person since they came out. I see more G35 and 350Z then I do the 370Z and G37. when you do get it.

Does anyone want to buy my Front License plate holder. I got the European one and its useless now. Thought I would offer before taking it back to Nissan.
