Default When to Tune

Moving to Hawaii soon and trying to get as much done stateside as possible.
Car is touring i believe, i know its not NISMO

It has Fast Intentions long tube headers mated to a catback from the NISMO.
I plan on putting the Stillen G3 intake on before I leave.

At what point does the car need an uprev tune? I assume its difficult to get one out in Hawaii so I'm trying to figure out if I should make this a priority before i leave. I have heard it needs a tune after putting a few breather mods on.

My knowledge base is stuck on mustangs as I owned them prior to this one. I'm trying to build my knowledge base on this car so my apologies if this is already common knowledge.

Thanks,

Matt

Not req. But it will bring out the best in the car, even reg driving, low end torque and those parts hp/tq. So u pick, i do recommend to anyone even stock cars, the tune unlocks the real Z.

Hey thanks for the reply,

So your saying it isn't dangerous I.e. Lean out/ detonation
To forgo tuning if I can't get it done before I leave?

Car will run its safe mode map before you can lean it out and hurt it with normal bolt on parts.

Tune is when you are finished doing your bolt ons. Like Scott said the ECU will run "Safe" mod till them, My buddy a Z370 with every bolt on and still has not tune. Grated his drives it a tad easy, No really wot pulls

Exhaust mods are not a big deal but once you get into the intake modifications I recommend getting a tune.
