twin throttle bodies

Just a quick question. With the bigger bore throttle bodies is it necessary to do any porting job with the runners?

Well, the more air you throw at the engine, the more fuel you'll need to throw in there to keep a perfect air to fuel ratio. I haven't really looked up this car too much yet. But seeing how people throw in intakes and exhaust or ITB's, it seems the fuel pump and injectors are enough for upgrades. Haven't seen anyone list fuel mods otherwise.

So in short, maybe just a tune afterwards if you want your mpg back and benefit off the hp and torque.

(I have no clue where I was going with this btw) Bwahahahahaha

well eventually it is necessary to replace both throttles with completely different ones, rewire the car, and throw out both factory manifolds. To get Big NA numbers outta this car you gotta drop a mint on it, or buy mine lol /shamless plug. You don't need to do anything else to get bigger throttle bodies to work on the Z other than maybe some throttle map tuning depending on how big you go with them.

No you don't have to. The heads are the biggest part of the intake system. We port the lower mani quite a bit to get it to port match but we won't do it unless we have the heads too. The whole system works this way. The closer to the engine you are, the bigger that item will be. Nissan wants the system to step down and not step up killing the air flow hitting a big lip. When we sell our kit we port match everything so there's no step in either direction. I think we'll at least start gasket matching the lower to head though to get more air in. My lower by an older porter left a good deal there. I've got a good 1/16-1/8" that can go!
