In theory, yes it is that simple. In practice, you will find it not quite so simple. The stock fuel pump module does not just have a hose barb waiting to connect external pickups to. You will need to replace the stock pump with a pump that has the proper connection interface or can be adapted to such, and you will have to create a way to mount that pump to the module. You will have to cut away area of the pump module to run the hose from the pump to the pickups. You will have to find a way to secure the pickups to the floor of the fuel tank.
