His other thread is closed too. It's probably easier to avoid having to answer for taking a lot of money and missing ship dates than it is to leave the thread open. He's the GTM of pullies. I'd be contacting my credit card company at this point.

If I dont have a tracking number by the end of this week, PayPal is getting a call.

I got bad vibes from both Mike and the shop when I bought my clutch from him. It was one of the crappiest little shops I've ever seen.

Every group buy he has done has gone like this- take money. Miss ship dates. Get pissy when confronted about missed ship dates. Offer excuses and ********. Eventually ship products much, much later.

The only thing he's got going for him is apparently the products are top notch when you finally get them.

FFS, I really wanted a NST pulley set too.

I thought I saw one that had a bunch of miles on it.

Mileage doesn't matter. Just get a new belt and you'll be fine.

I've got $10 that says you find another one before the group buy actually ships out. :rofl2:

You know if the overdrive/underdrive set is worth it?

Chuck33079 04-22-2014 07:52 AM

I'll never run a pulley. Plenty of people here run then with no issues, but I know a guy who lost his built motor because of one. I have run them with no issues in the past, but when the guy who built my car told me specifically to never run a pulley because one of them destroyed his motor I listen.

Granted, that was on a turbo setup making 700whp, so any issue gets magnified. On a NA car I wouldn't expect any issues since the margin for error is much higher.

Honestly, if you want to lose rotating mass get a flywheel first.
