I still can't believe the Mods haven't addressed who or why the NST threads were closed.

speedfreek 04-22-2014 01:17 PM

It looks like they have closed all the threads and revoked their Vendor status. Probably until they make good on the group buy that they have over extended themselves on. Seemingly this is what happened during the last one as well minus the closing/revoking of course.

I hope everyone either gets their product or money back whichever the case may be.

Just my :twocents:

Yikes. Not a good sign.

I'm fine with them revoking vendor status but closing the thread only hurts the members who are trying to get info about where their money/product is. Not to mention there was no announcement to let us know what happened (hence me posting this thread lol)

Well from their track record everyone that is willing to wait will eventually get the product they ordered which has been stated a good product. However it is up to each individual whether they want to wait the extra duration for the parts to be delivered or request a refund.

I agree the way NST is handling the questions isn't the best but not everyone has a great customer relations specialist or what have you working for them.

My guess is they couldn't guess the correct date when the GB started so they are very hesitant to throw out another drop dead date as to when products will be delivered. Instead opt to stay in the shadows and just say they are working on it; everyone please stay patient.

The otherside of the coin is that companies have and will go belly up if their financial situation is beyond stressed. So the customer who likely earmarked that money for said part doesn't really want the money back and just wants the part (in a timely fashion). However the customer does not want to feel like they will get nothing for their hard earned cash if the company closes it's doors.

Some advice for NST is next time if there is a next time they decide to offer a GB for their products. Take the date they peg for delivery and double it.

But then why tell us they are going through QA testing over a week ago only to tell us today they just started QA testing yesterday??? That's not a missed estimate...it's a major conflict in information in an already frustrated forum.

I emailed Mike asking for a refund...not because of the extended wait time, but because I feel the updates have not been honest and I'm no longer comfortable leaving my money on the table.

I'm waiting for a response from him now.

Hopefully those of you who stick it out get your products and love them.

Apparently you get several months for a pulley... I guess that translates to years for forced induction products

gbrettin 04-22-2014 06:15 PM

This is nothing compared to GTM. I don't think we should make those comparisons.

You're right, this is nothing. I think the comparison was how NST had their vendor status pulled whereas GTM has been pulling this kinda crap for years without any repercussions. Like FP mentioned, this is just what I've read.

Just long enough to surpass the timeline to submit a credit card dispute I suppose...

Hey NickD,

I just logged on to see this and also see a pm from AK about an apparent issue towards NST.

I can only see they (NST) was not currently a valid vendor, And was NOT allowed to continue with it's sales here.

What also came to light in the regard to you, And others situation of still waiting on what you and others paid for is completely NEW to me.

I can only suggest those get in touch with AK for help since he is actively involved with this issue, And it was at his discretion the action that was taken.

I can only hope NST just pays its vendor fee and makes good on everyone who's still waiting on what they paid for.

All this could've been handled by Pm But I totally understand IF the thread is closed and you need to ask a simple question.

Again hopefully it all gets sorted out and everyone gets what they paid for.

If you have any questions please feel free to pm AK or me.

Thank You.
