Default Stillen Oil Cooler and its thermostat

Hi guys,

Just fitted the stillen race oil cooler kit which comes with thermostatic oil sandwich plate and setrab 25row cooler.

I am wondering how useful this thermostat is, because I am seeing around 80degC (176degF) while doing 110~120kph.

I was expecting it to shoot upto 90+ fairly quickly but I guess it doesnt work that way, maybe its only useful for areas where its freeze cold..

any ideas?

it's not the greatest but it works. the oil will take longer to heat up with the cooler. on cool nights i cruise at 160 degrees. gauge is measuring oil coming directly from the cooler. don't worry about it.

It's never fully closed. 20% is always open up to 100% at 180.
And the temperature gauge will be about 20 degrees cooler than the actual temp of the oil
