I took it to Nissan, I only had 1 month of warranty remaining. They checked for ecu errors and said they could not repeat the problem. Sent me off and said it was my K&N panel filters.

Luckily it was a common issue and the fix was easy. As you stated, cleaning the TB does not require disconnecting the electrical connections.
