No problem, thank you!

Zeester 10-04-2010 02:30 AM

Im a bit skeptical about this product but only due to the possibility of damage to the engine due to this mod. Is this true or is it all just bs ?

Has anyone ever had a problem with these pulleys after a long period of use ?

DIGItonium 10-04-2010 07:56 AM

16k... but I'm pretty sure the pulleys didn't have anything to do with my CSC taking a dump. ;)

StealthZ 10-17-2010 09:26 AM

Ok placed my order, as a side not, Is there a DIY for the install? I tried to search but couldn't find any thread.

NonStopTuning 10-17-2010 01:05 PM

Thank you for the orders this weekend everyone, much appreciated.

Unfortunately, no online DIY guide is available at this time.
We highly suggest visiting a shop that has experience with the Z, if you plan on seeking someone's help with this.

Thanks again, good luck and have fun with all your projects everyone!

Is it nessesary to order and install the K070786 belt with this pulley kit ?

jpit 12-17-2010 03:31 PM

That seems to be a matter for discussion. I put both pullies on and the belt seemed to work fine. However, the marks on the engine showed the the belt was a little loose. I went ahead and installed the new belt and the marks show a very good fit.

Correct. We tested with the OEM belt and it seemed fine. A handful of customers started suggesting a shorter belt and it has since become accepted as the way to go around these parts. We now offer this belt for those who'd like to use it.

I am interested apart from a poor install have you had any issues what so ever? does the product have a life span? using the underdrive crank pulley along with the overdrive alt pulley do the two cancel the hp gains? are the dyno results on your website shown with both pulleys installed?

Do you have a direct email as i want to ask about comparisons between your competitors.

Thanks

No issues of any kind have been reported in this, and various other, NST related threads where our customers have posted.

The lifespan of the product is longer than most of the cars themselves. We have customers who have been using the same pulleys for 10+ years on some older imports!

The overdrive alternator pulley absolutely DOES NOT cancel the performance gains of the underdrive crank pulley. The gains and benefits of underdriving are freed up via the crank pulley, our alternator pulley adjusts the speed of the alternator to bring your electrical system up to OEM speeds. Both pulleys are 70% lighter than OEM to make things even better.

The dyno charts we have posted are with the full, two piece, kit. OEM vs NST on the same dyno, on the same day, on the same car, with not other modifications made.

You can compare us to any of our competition and you will find that NST offers quality and value, as well as service and support in your community.

Good luck and have fun with all your projects!

Appreciate the speedy reply. Do you have any problems with delivery to spain? i live in the south of spain (marbella, malaga).

Currently waiting on my FI HFC & CBE which are being held by customs somewhere in spain (same thing happened with stillen g3's). if all goes well i will be ordering these also.

Thanks Mike.

darrinps 02-08-2011 07:53 PM

Well with the gray ones in stock this might be a go, but I;d like to know if any special pricing (group but, 370Z.com discount) etc, may be in the works as the price of the total kit with two pulleys, belt, shipping, installation, etc. adds up quickly. Any such plans near term?

BTW, I don't see any dyno tests on the page dealing with the 370 pulley here: NST - The Leader In Nissan 370Z Pulley Development

Where are the dyno test results and why not have them linked to the page?

I believe that is a dyno of a 350, not a 370.

efuseakay 02-09-2011 09:47 AM

Correct. Should show similar results though. :)

NonStopTuning 02-18-2011 08:09 PM

The 350Z HR and 370Z HR show similar gains on the dyno, with the 370Z obviously being a couple points higher. This is a proven modification, not just by us but by many individuals who have done before and after dynos.

Your butt dyno will approve, the dyno at your local shop will show gains, your wallet will be fatter due to the increase in fuel economy, and your engine will be more responsive all around.

The 20 pages of feedback from Z owners here in this thread back all of these claims.
