Default Radiator fan not working!!!

Hi,

I have problems with my radiator fan,not working! I had light front impact I was only in the car so my airbag went out... Nothing major. Just a little impact on radiator. Changed radiator, new radiator fans both new. Put back together,and... Nothing! Starting engine,no MIL light nothing wrong with the car (engine),"just" wont turn on engine fan. It will occasionally turn it on but it runs very slowly, nearly not at all... What to do to test it. Searched in Service manual, nothing there that can pinpoint to my problem!

Thanks

Turn on the A/C while the engine is running, and check to see if the fans turn on.

I'd first check the fan relay/socket connection. Unplug the relay and plug it back in.

If that didn't do any good, I'd check the voltage (or resistance) from the fuse to the fan, looking for a bad wire or connection.

Relay contacts may be bad, but the fuse should have protected them.

Good luck

I second both the responses about, DIGItonium's test is a bit easier, or lazy, LOL

I see a lot of good easy reasonable tests (like to check for the LSD on the guy's thread for if he had a sport package)... Rep coming your way!

Checked all connections. Everything OK. Bleed properly??? Whole system is hot,no sound of air!Radiator is fully hot! I didn't add R134 gas to the climate system, yet!? Can that be cause?

The ac will not operate without any r134

Could you have it diagnosed at a local dealer or mechanic and let them find whats wrong first and then you can determine if you could just fix it on your own?

I personally don't advise much if I have no idea what techincal skills people may have and instead of getting into things that maybe over your head?

Its much easier in my opinion to have a qualified person determine whats wrong first and then what its going to cost to fix.

In your case sounds like a fan switch not kicking in at the preset temp

Im going to necro this thread as my fans are not working...

Here is what I know...
The fans work. If I flash a tune through ecutek the fans will power up to max speed for 2seconds during what I assume are preflash diagnostics.
The fans do not come on with any amount of temperature or if I turn on AC.
My temp sensor does report temperature's to the ECU and the gauge. Tested this both with the torque app and Ecutek.
The thermostat appears to be operating without issue and luckily with my mishi rad my temps do not go above 84~c even with abusing the car.

I really am not sure at this point where the issues lies. Any advice would be much appreciated.
