I track my Z and this is a skill I taught myself after reading about our CSC issues. And all I can say is that it has paid off twice.

In fact, if you track your Z (and drive to and from the track) you better master this technique. Because it is not a question of if your CSC will fail. It is a question of when is it going to fail.

I've only seen the one make of HD CSC. Just make sure you get the right one. They ask you what kind of clutch it's for.

Here is what you do.

1. Turn the car off.

2. Put shifter into 1st gear.

3. Press ignition button.

4. Car will lurch forward and fire engine.

5. Rev to around 3K RPM.

6. Pull shifter out of 1st and press toward 2nd gear.

7. Shifter will fall into 2nd gear. Now repeat with 3rd, 4th, etc...

8. I have driven more than 100 miles with this technique.

this is what my service advisor had to do when he took it out on a test drive, he said it was called floating the gears and basically you let the synchros do all the work

And the syncro-rev feature only makes it easier.

Just replaced mine when I installed my new clutch for the peace on mind....

luigi90210 08-09-2013 06:31 PM

UPDATE:

So dealer called me back and said they can not get the clutch to bleed properly after installing the JWT clutch and flywheel.

Its out on a test drive right now but they might need the car longer....

To top it all off, I have a Nissan versa as a loaner. I know I shouldn't be complaining but damn that car is SLOW. It feels slower then the sentra.

Z-Girl 12 08-09-2013 06:45 PM

ROFLMBO a Versa? wow
