im only using this to install the flywheel and clutch so the dealer wont charge me a bunch for install and the dealer is giving me a good deal on the JWT clutch and flywheel, my service advisor told me if i went with an aftermarket one, i would be paying for the whole install |
Then go ahead and buy the HD CSC and keep it on the shelf. The OEM one tends to fail faster with beefier clutches. Might as well have the part on hand if it goes again. I have a feeling that the install will be out of your own pocket since the dealer will look at the aftermarket clutch and tell you that's what caused the failure.

I remember watching a video on YouTube about the JWT clutch and flywheel and JWT got it done in an hour. |
I've only seen the one make of HD CSC. Just make sure you get the right one. They ask you what kind of clutch it's for.

Here is what you do.
1. Turn the car off. 2. Put shifter into 1st gear. 3. Press ignition button. 4. Car will lurch forward and fire engine. 5. Rev to around 3K RPM. 6. Pull shifter out of 1st and press toward 2nd gear. 7. Shifter will fall into 2nd gear. Now repeat with 3rd, 4th, etc... 8. I have driven more than 100 miles with this technique. |
