Default Essential Mods for my '13 roadster

Hi every1, been skimming the forum for the last week ago and all I've to to say is *woW*.. There is a massive amount of info here.

So I'm starting to think about tuning my new manual Cherry Black sport/nav 'vert and was looking for feedback on my ideas and questions. Main thing is I'm not tracking the car and I want the car to be usable and not to loud or aggressive Just quality tweaks.. I'm a 50yr old guy so I dont want a commando spoiler or ground lighting etc...LMAO....

- Drop: Eibach pro kit w/camber kit (had this on my G-37 and liked the ride)
- Spacers: 15mm all around (pulled these off my G-37)
- Intake/Filter.... what are your thoughts on the K&N CAI? It seems to be a pretty decent price. Can I run this in the winter? I live in Ontario (how easy is it to switch back to stock if I need to?). Option 2 is K&N drop ins. I've used these b4 but didn't really see any advantage except that they can be re-used
-Exhaust: Looking for something that sounds close to stock until you open her up... I like the sound of the Fast Intensions and GTHAUS. GTH is prob. to loud tho.
-Wheels: I love the Vossen CV2's w/ the black background.....
Anything else I should consider?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Patrick.

Mod list looks good

IMO, the K&N is a WAI (warm air intake) either go Stillen G3, an equivalent, or

Post pics as it's coming along!

Go with the k&n drop in filter with the Z1 post maf tubes. They're suppose to give you a good amount of power. As far as exhaust you describe it sounds like perhaps berk or the ark dts exhaust would be good..maybe even the full tanabe exhaust if you have the $ for it. If you want a little more power and your exhaust to sound a little louder I suggest you look into the berk hfc w/ any exhaust set up. Good luck to you and welcome to the forum!!

Yes, the Ark is very nice.. I like the idea that this is modular.. I can go with the CBE and if i want more, then the HFC, more? Headers...lol

Any opinions on the Stillen G2?? The G3 is nice but to much work to install and prob. more than I need.

I can sell you the Gen 2 if you want. Worked well for me and is easy to install/clean the filters.

Look up the r2c intakes. They have dry filters and I've heard great things about that company. Maybe even the g2s will be to your liking. Either way that short ram intake is gonna increase your throttle response a little

well here's my 2 cents if you like. If I had it to do all over again, I'd do the springs, upgrade the brakes (you have sport so probably ok), get a good LSD (mine was open non-sport, so this was an essential upgrade for me) I believe the stock has a VLSD anyway. I would do that first before any thinking about anything to the engine? why? It certainly sounds cool but for the kind of money I've spent on the Z I think I could have modded my 97 Z-28 into at least an 11 sec car. seriously. I wouldn't touch anything on the engine and would just save initially and do track days until I could afford to do a supercharger or twin turbo then get into some bad-assery!!!! good luck, either way t'is up to you just offering up what I would do if I could do it again...
