Was any electrical work or any other work done prior to the failure. Modules like this rarely fail.

Also rabbits. But rats and mice are a common problem especially if you park outside and the car isn't daily driven.

The main wiring harness is $1,486.48 online (discounted).

I'm guessing it's the 24011-Z34002 EGI harness which online is $629.00. I wouldn't want to try and replace it though, pretty nightmarish.

Do you have the link?

I'm not touching it. Gonna have someone other than Nissan to install it. They charge $1000 just for labor

Saw the same thing on my dash on the way back from LA today. Check engine and key light.

Car would rev super slow at first, then...the gear light went off and shifting manually was impossible.

Shutting down the car, waiting for a few minutes and turning back on would allow the car to be shifted manually and would rev normally for a short time, eventually the car would go back to this lame *** limp mode.

When I got home I hooked up my OBD scanner, and got P0500 and U0101. Did ECU reset, and the car was fine, for a while. Check engine light hasn't returned, but the slow revving symptoms returned. I imagine tomorrow morning it'll go away, again. Heat seems to exacerbate it, like today...it was really flippin' hot and I put a lot of miles on the car

I'm thinking this is related to the dealer installing a new transmission on my car recently, maybe they didn't properly reprogram the TCM. I guess I'll find out tomorrow

Update: after clearing the codes using the the ECU reset procedure, the codes have not returned. Although it may come back on another hot day in the canyons or the track

Update: I did a long drive up the 15 freeway and made it as far as Victorville, same crap as before. CEL came on and i drove it to the Victorville Nissan dealership. They kept the car over the weekend, they called Nissan HQ on Monday and HQ had them loosen and retighten a bunch of ground wires that I suppose are attached to the TCM. Nissan did a 60 mile test drive and the issue never returned.

I drove it back to Corona and then to South OC and never saw the problem again. The car seems to be running fine now. Just to reiterate this was related to Code U0101

Update: It came back, thought i was good to go on my way to ZCON in San Diego on Saturday. Big fat nope. The problem came back and eventually so did the U0101 code. Drove home and then to the dealership same day.

Got the car back yesterday, dealership says the battery needed to be replaced because the current it was ouputting was insufficient for the TCM and other devices to function properly. They said the battery was ouputting something like 150A when it should have been doing 580A. So i had them replace the thing and I picked it up yesterday. I'm not convinced it's gone till i take it on a long drive. I guess we'll see.
