The FTC has gone after these two and every other company like them for false advertising claims. If lining the engine metal with a teflon/plastic/resin/whatever by pouring in a bottle of magic juice actually provided the benefits they claimed, you'd see reputable manufacturers (like Mobil or Shell) selling a variant at the least, if not the vehicle manufacturers doing this at the factory.
