Allegedly Nissan's blend has a special affinity at the mollecular level for the DLC coating on the valvetrain.
Now is that really significant and will other ester oils perform just as well? Who knows? However, I know I haven't seen an esepecially good UOA from anyone using the Nissan oil yet, which is not a ringing endorsement... I'm going to try Castrol 0-W30 on my next change.
