Well I know Z1 has a package that provides 340 bhp w/ their modified intake manifold, headers and test pipes. I believe this is not including intakes and cat back exhaust. And even then you could install come pulleys to give you that little extra power. Idk what it would yield but I'm sure it would be pretty good NA with a tune.

Isn't that how they ended up with the 342 number they're claiming?

"In conjunction with a Stillen Gen 3 Intake and a quality high flowing exhaust system the Z1 VQ37VHR 400HP Package can produce 340+ rear wheel horsepower on a DynoJet on 93 octane fuel when properly tuned with Uprev Engine Management. We have not included the intake, exhaust, or engine management systems in this package because many people have already purchased these items. We recommend installation and tuning through Z1 Motorsports."

that 340 number is with intakes and exhaust that just inst provided with the kit.

also i still dont believe that number to be true. that would be like my car gaining 20WHP from headers & manifold addition. with the whole rate of diminishing returns of mod HP i dont see a 20WHP jump.

Nobody else got numbers that high with their headers. Z1 makes good stuff, but they seem to have a very "marketing-friendly" dyno.

Over 9000!!!!!!!! Anyone do a pull on a Dyno Dynamics?

yea i've noticed lol

also when mike said his 342 dropped to 320 when on a different dyno that wasnt Z1's dyno kinda says a bit towards that. dont get me wrong i love their products and amazing customer service. just a big number is all.

Yep. Never trust the guy who sells the parts to tell you how much power it makes. They've got a vested interest in making that number look as good as possible. I'm sure that the Z1 parts make more power than stock or other options. I seriously doubt that it's as high as they claim.

hey if it is power to them but i just dont see it.

i mean headers and plenum added to mine i would love to break 340.....just 20WHP addition with just those seem tough.

That's what I do, by moving the decimal point.

My Z makes 3165 hp. Not bad for NA. It runs a 1.27 sec quarter mile (I move that decimal point too, just the other way).

Now that's funny!!!
