Highest hp 370z NA??

My tuner was curious and I couldn't really think of anything over 325 or so, but a friend said hes seen around 340. Can anyone chime in?

Pretty pointless since some dynos read so much higher than others

blackonorange 08-17-2012 01:22 PM

So many variables

dirTy_shoeZ 08-17-2012 01:33 PM

I'm not trying to get technical about it I'm just asking for highest recorded numbers. I know there's variables :)

There have been claims of people doing 340-350whp, but very little proof (dyno sheets).

Usually those are the people who go to shops with high reading dynos.

Don't worry, someone who got tuned at Church's will come along pretty soon and shut this thread DOWN. :p

I bet the Doran race car has the most. Motec ECU, 350 heads, dry sump, etc.

Might be better if you asked people for their stock numbers at the same shop along with the tuned numbers

Without insanely optimistic values, if we're talking dynojet and SAE correction (STD tends to inflate on NA cars and there's many fudge factors on load bearing dynos), I'd say around 315-325.

That's with EVERYTHING. Full exhaust, lightened pulleys, tune, intake, reasonably nice weather, etc.

Z's with the more basic bolt-on's + tune will be in the 300-310 ballpark on a dynojet, SAE corrected.

Anything much over 330 would raise my eyebrow (and even THAT is really high).

Although... Nismos may dyno a bit higher. Still trying to confirm whether that's an artifact of there being few dynos and all in 5th gear (tends to read more torquey than 4th) or just different VVEL tuning, as the other changes can be accounted for.

Definitely. Then look at % improvement from baseline rather than raw values to get more easily comparable estimates. Also, run conditions need to be close (e.g., similar air temps, similar humidity) to make meaningful comparisons, even with SAE correction.

They have a dynojet (I think) and yet they do seem to have a reputation for finding rather high values relative to other dynojets... not sure what to make of that.

Yea I think I got just under 350 hp at Church's. Lol.

Glokwork just had his car tuned and gained 30 whp. Think he says he is at 335whp I think.
