I've had the BorgWarner T10's, Super T10's and the Mopar Hemi trannies apart and swapped out the gear sets with either Nash or Liberty gear sets.

The last Nissan one I worked on you needed a press to press stuff on and off.

Maybe next step, I am taking my chances with $400 investment as the transmission labor will be free of charge

I am waiting to see the results of the DCT conversion as Seb is pretty close on completing the install on his Z.

a press, pin punches, tons of pullers, a specialty non standard snapring pliers, 3 or 4 custom tools unless you want to spend a few hundred dollars on the kent moore stuff, and a bunch of other ****. I have been working on one of these bastards for a couple weeks now on and off. spend a couple hours trying to get a gear off, break down and order the specialty puller wait a few days to a week and then repeat.

1slow370 01-16-2021 02:21 AM

oh yeah and pray you dont break one of the parts in the transmission that nissan doesnt sell or you will be buying a whole other trans to take that part out of
