Ok so here the update. Friday I will be going to take pics of the engine when it's open. I had to wait for some seal to come in cause the dealership had none for when they put the engine covers back on. They just came in. The can install will be finished by beginning of next week. The Nissan manual calls for two to three full days but here on Guam I have to plan for longer. That's just the island life here lol. I am getting other things done to the car as well at the same time. Sorry for the long delay. That's what happens when u live on an island in the middle of bum **** nowhere lol. Hope u guys are still interested.

Wow -- good luck!

Do you have a baseline to compare it to?

Navyboy916 10-17-2012 07:26 PM

Unfortunately we don't have a dyno here on Guam. I don't have actual numbers but I will show video to help people decide if they want to get the cams. Sorry that's the best I can do.

I find it odd that the only person who does cams does it OUTSIDE the US, in one of the only places without a dyno.

No offense, but I just find it weird.

Navyboy916 10-17-2012 08:15 PM

Obviously u have never been to Guam. It's an island in the middle of nowhere. I have a couple of other guys with 370z on here they can chime in and will say the same thing. Again sorry this island is pretty primitive still.

370Z Purist 10-17-2012 08:54 PM

No, I have not been to Guam, but that's exactly what I just said.

The only person to do cams, in the middle of nowhere.

DarkJak 10-17-2012 09:51 PM

Of course it WOULD work that way, but hopefully his results will be good, and this may convince people in the US to get it.

But... how will we (or you?) know if it made a worthwhile difference? :(

Can you at least datalog a 0-60 or 1/8th mile (or ideally a 1/4 mile) run somewhere to compare and contrast before and after cams?

Actually, given known weight and some values for speed, we can probably find formulas to roughly estimate whp before and after.

Not as good as a dyno, but far better than nothing.

I hope this will convince someone in the states to buy these cams and get them dynoed.

I have a set on the way to to me. It probably will be late November by the time I get them though. But we will have dyno numbers soon.
