Adjusting clutch "drivability"

Helper spring. Is that what makes the clutch pedal put more pressure against you foot when you get to a certain point? If so, am I right to assume that

Helper spring. Is that what makes the clutch pedal put more pressure against you foot when you get to a certain point? If so, am I right to assume that by removing said spring, I'll have even pressure throughout?

I don't know why I'm writing like that either lol
