Lately, I've been hearing a somewhat faint clicking noise in my driver side rear. It happens in low gears 1-3 between those respective speeds. It doesn't happen when in reverse.

Lately, I've been hearing a somewhat faint clicking noise in my driver side rear. It happens in low gears 1-3 between those respective speeds. It doesn't happen when in reverse. I took it to Nissan, and I picked it up this morning. They said it was a "loose bolt". I asked which one, they said "in the rear driver side". I'm like oh, that ONE BOLT.
Anyway, I hear the clicking again after picking it up.I've found a bunch of "370z noise" threads and they all allude to rear axles having to be greased and turned. Does anyone know of an actual TSB on this? I asked Nissan and they said they hadn't heard of anything like that. I'm going to call them back but I want to have some legit proof so they can't dismiss it has something dumb. |

Turns out it was that the rear axle bearing surface needed to be greased up a bit. The TSB they used as a reference was the NTB04-113b. It applied to the 2004-2010 Nissan Armada.
